Some toolbars are easier to use than others; it is a matter of the user becoming familiar with each individual toolbar.

By far, the Google toolbar is the most popular and most downloaded toolbar. The instructions are easy to follow, and there are great assortments of functions. One of the most popular functions is the page rank, which is as easy to use as holding the curser over the page rank and the ranking is automatically shown. This allows Webmasters who use the toolbar function to rate a website, to determine if swapping a link would benefit them.

It also allows them to see the ranking of their own website. If the Rank is too low, usually under "PR5" then the webmaster can take steps to improve their website for a higher ranking, therefore bringing more traffic and revenues. Improving a website usually means adding meta tags and keywords that describe in detail the services that are offered.
