Over 1400 people took the 40-question survey and the results
were very enlightening. When the participants of the survey
were asked the question, "would you ever consider a B2B
purchase" over, ninety percent agreed to check out prices
online. They all agree that the prices online are very
competitive compared to offline stores and some even offer an
Internet discount. When asked whether they would ever use a B2B
search engine, over ninety-five percent said yes. This is the
twenty first century, and the technology age. They agreed that
using a search engine is faster and more cost efficient. Also
63.9 percent of the participants would use a search engine
instead of any manufacturing, e-commerce and any industry
sites. More information can be found by using a search
engine.
Instead of finding a select few companies using the
traditional methods, by using a search engine, businesses can
be found all over the world. This increases e-commerce and
forms new business relationships. In the end over 86 percent of
the participants did agree to the fact that prices of regular
portals have gone up, using search engines are free, and
virtually anything can be found on the Internet.
